One of the most common questions regarding social media marketing is about evaluating post. What makes for a good social media post or a bad post? In order to evaluate post we need a system of rating our post.
Value – Is this content offering anyone value, can something be learned from what you are providing? If it isn’t something educational or informative maybe it is at least entertaining. Avoid pointless post that do not offer value to your followers.
Unique – Is this something that anyone could be posting? Or is this something that you have to offer that other people cannot provide.
Easy to copy – How difficult would it be for another company to view this post and copy it?
Call to action – Are you using this post to bring visitors to your website? One of the biggest mistakes a business will make is leaving out a call to action on a post. They don’t ask for anything! You will hardly ever get something that you do not ask for. Make sure you are leading your customers to your website or providing contact information with every post you are making!
More about using social media to connect with customers and initiate and call to action when we talk about building a sales funnel from your social media in an future post.
