People are so quick to think about how difficult change is to create. Like anything else, it is a process to be followed. The following three step model can be extremely powerful in creating significant change.
Evaluate the present state
Take inventory on where your company is at and what resources it has. Don’t make the mistake of looking at what you don’t have and feel the need to gain something new. Instead change is often created from taking a look at what resources you do have and reorganizing them.
Transformation state
Beginning with the end in mind, how can you take the resources you have available to you and begin to shift them into the future desired state. Compare the resources you have to your vision and mission in order to understand the needs of your desired state.
Desired state
Finally, how are you going to structure the new state or your organization? Communicate clearly how you define this new desired state and how it aligns to your overall strategy.
